GOTHAM UNIVERSE/ Tribute Card Set
The Gotham typeface was designed in the year 2000 by New York Designer Tobias Frere-Jones, inspired by the popular architectural signage from the mid twentieth century. I fell in love with the no-nonsense style of the lettering, particularly the letter ‘O’, the perfectly shaped circle that is unassuming and yet authoritative at the same moment.
Each card projects a world of endless possibilities, forever changing scales of enormous proportions. Thin line work traces the trajectories of planets as they are invisibly crisscrossing one another’s path.
